The 2023 Thunderbolt Blessing of the Fleet is proudly presented by the Town of Thunderbolt along with numerous community sponsors and partners. Celebrated now as a family-friendly festival, this time-honored tradition pays tribute to Thunderbolt’s local shrimping and fishing industries; offering live music, a morning parade, vendors, food trucks, beer garden, children’s activities, raffle prizes and of course, the fleet blessing, conducted by Bishop Parkes from St. John The Baptist Church. The blessing will take place on The Bluff, along the beautiful Wilmington riverfront.
